Only the best cooking oils
for our manufacturing process

In addition to the potatoes themselves, the cooking oil also plays an important role in the quality of our products. That's why we choose to use only the best oils at all stages of our manufacturing process.

Only non-hydrogenated vegetable oils

We use non-hydrogenated vegetable oil to pre-fry all our Fries and Potato Specialities. With no trans fats and a higher unsaturated fat content, this is more healthy than hydrogenated cooking oils.

Aviko pre-fries its entire range of frozen potato specialities in 100% sunflower oil. This is significant, since no less than 88% of sunflower oil is made up of mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fats, which help to lower blood cholesterol levels, thus reducing the chance of heart disease. Hence, the decision to pre-fry in sunflower oil represents a decision to produce healthy and responsible food.

Guaranteed GM-free products

Aviko only uses cooking oils which are guaranteed to be free of genetically modified organisms (GM-free).

Furthermore, we are a member of the RSPO (Round table on Sustainable Palm Oil). This organisation promotes the sustainable production of palm oil.
