Aviko switches to sunflower oil

As of January 2011, Aviko
pre-fries its entire range of
classics in pure sunflower oil. Sunflower oil
is a high-quality natural product
that makes a valuable contribution to a healthy diet. No less than
88% of sunflower oil is made up of
mono-unsaturated and
poly-unsaturated fats.
Unsaturated fats help to lower blood cholesterol levels, thus
reducing the risk of heart disease.
The decision to pre-fry in sunflower oil represents a decision
to produce healthy and responsible food. This move brings Aviko
within European guidelines for reducing the consumption of
saturated fats. Meanwhile, the clear, golden sunflower oil also
lends the potato products a particularly pure taste and attractive,
natural appearance.
