Choice and innovation is important on any menu, but
never more so than when you are feeding people every day, such as
in schools. School caterers have a big challenge to create dishes
that appeal to pupils, taste great, meet the guidelines
and stay within budget! Simply updating a potato
accompaniment can help keep menus fresh; for instance swapping
chips for spicy wedges or offering a healthy option of quiche
served with a salad are easy ways to introduce variety while
remaining within the school nutritional guidelines.
At Aviko, we work closely with school nutritionists and
caterers to create products and recipes that really work and that
children love. Our new 'School Range', which was launched at this
year's LACA conference, has been developed to help caterers provide
