Mohammed Essa: In these tough economic times we continue
to ask our customers what they feel are the important factors for
success in 2012. Listening to the valuable feedback received, I
find that as suppliers we can all do better to gain a deeper
understanding of our customers' businesses since it is this
understanding that allows us to turn challenges into mutually
beneficial opportunities.
Macro factors such as the convergence of foodservice and retail
boundaries will continue apace, especially with increased online
penetration through technological advances, but this should be
welcomed with open arms and harnessed to advance business growth.
Despite the volatile macro environment relationship management is
still the key in our industry, as it has, and always will be, a
people's business. Furthermore there is no compromise in quality,
as our customers demand quality product at affordable prices, so
that budgets can be managed and margins can be delivered at site
level.
Aviko is making a number of changes in 2012 to support our
customers and I promise that we will gain a deeper understanding of
your business, whilst delivering consistent quality products at
affordable prices. I feel that if we can all focus on delivering
value for money then there is no reason why our industry cannot
continue to prosper for the next decade and beyond. Fortunately, I
have a very experienced team in the UK who are always available to
give you excellent information, service delivery and provide any
assistance where we can on any challenges you may face, even if
these are outside the world of potatoes.
This quarter's newsletter focuses on potato crop, with a new
product focus on Herb Diced Potatoes and menu inspiration. I trust
you will find the Q4 newsletter informative as ever, we are always
happy to receive feedback/suggestions/ideas from our customers.
