With the rise of the 'posh nosh' trend, Aviko's premium fries have proven to be an essential side for casual dining outlets across the UK keen to drive a profit. Whether operators are looking for a point of difference through crunchier, longer, healthier or rustic fries, Aviko has a full range available and visitors to its stand can try them all and learn how to drive profits in 2014.
Aviko's General Manger, Mohammed Essa explains; "Fries accounts for a massive 72.3% of the 1.86 billion servings of potato products in the out-of-home market^ and the average portion generates a phenomenal gross profit of 1,215%**.Superior versions can really add another dimension to a dish and with Horizon's Menurama identifying gourmet fast food, such as burgers and hot dogs as the fastest-growing menu items, there has never been a better time to trade-up your fries."
Visitors who step into the 'Aviko Diner', will be in for a real treat with the dedicated out-of-home supplier's Sweet Potato Fries, Super Crunch and Superlongs all on stand to sample.
Aviko Supercrunch Fries have a thin batter coating that guarantees a crispy, crunchy texture; and retain their heat up to 50% longer than standard fries.
Superlongs are longer than average, meaning operators will be
able to get more portions per kilogram and a better plate fill.
They come in two variants - Original (in 7.4mm and 9.5mm cuts) and
Skin-On (in 9.5mm and 11mm).
Aviko's Sweet Potato Fries have a fantastic visual impact, with a vivid orange-hue and a natural sweetness. The fries can be mixed with deep golden-coloured Skin-On Superlongs, to create Tiger Fries - a new concept developed by Aviko for children's menus.
Mohammed adds; "Whatever your needs we have the perfect fries to
complement your menu. We can't wait to see everyone at the show; so
head down to Stand U121 and find out for yourself what a difference
in taste and texture our premium fries can deliver."
Dedicated to foodservice and one of the biggest potato processors in the world, Aviko has a range of chilled and frozen potato specialities from morning favourites like hash browns and innovative hash brown bites, through to premium fries, mash and roast potatoes.
Casual Dining will be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, 26-27th February 2014.
